After School

Conducting Trauma-Informed Drills

This 2-hour session addresses NYS drill requirements, including recent regulation amendments that require all drills be trauma-informed; actions that can be taken before, during, and after evacuation and lockdown drills; best practices for conducting drills in a trauma-informed manner; and resources available to support safety teams.

Intended Audience: school and district including administrators, chief emergency officers, safety team members, School Resource Officers and other school staff that are involved in school safety

​

Registration is required. Capacity is limited.

Tuesday 3/25/25 | 10am-12pm

Teacher and Young Student

Dignity Act - Scenarios for Everyday Implementation

This 2-hour session is designed to support you, your school, and your district with Dignity Act implementation. It will provide an introduction to the technical and adaptive challenges of implementing the Dignity Act, including how to support students when there is no evidence of a material incident; how to engage and communicate with parents; and misconceptions around reporting. Participants will be led through a series of scenarios intended to help troubleshoot implementation challenges.

This is NOT the 6-hour training workshop for educator certification.

There is no charge to attend this session. 

​
